Logos Hope offers more than books and features a fully air conditioned deck that is open to the public to explore. From the moment people step on board, they will receive a warm welcome and have an opportunity to watch a short introduction to the new ship in the Lifeboat Theater and learn about life on board this unique vessel.

The vessel also offers ice cream, drinks and snacks for everyone to enjoy at the International Café.

After this Welcome Experience visitors will move into the all new book fair where they can explore over 5,000 different books and CD titles available at affordable prices.

The books cover a wide range of subjects such as science, technology, sports, hobbies, cookery, the arts and philosophy. A large selection of higher education textbooks is available as well as many books for children.

From the book fair visitors will have opportunity to walk through a display that reflects on the meaning and purpose of life before they arrive at the International Café. Here they can enjoy a snack or a beverage in a comfortable, relaxed environment and meet one of the international crew members or enjoy some live entertainment.

The all-volunteer crew and staff comprise of around 400 people representing 45 different nations. Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships e.V., an international charitable organization from Germany. In 40 years of service, the organization has welcomed more than 40 million visitors up the gangways in over 160 countries and territories around the world.

It’s that time of the year again. Yes, it’s Petra Annual Prayer Day. Every year, the whole church gathers as a family to pray. Not that we do not pray often, but to come specially for a day specifically for prayer.

In this 2 hour session, we will be sharing the prayer requests from each ministry, and also personal prayer requests too.

If you are in need of prayers or need people to pray for you, please come.

If you are not in need, please come to pray for others.

If you are unsure, come and pray to get some direction.

All in all, you are all invited and encouraged to come. Your presence will also be an encouragement to many.

As you may know our brother Jen Ruw passed away to be with the Lord yesterday evening. In memory of him, there will be service tonight in his house and the funeral will be held tomorrow. The details are:

I want to urge all of you who have known him as a brother to come out in full force to show our love and support to his family. This is truly the time to show what true Christian love is.

In the meantime, let us strive forward with the ministry we had and that Jen Ruw so wholeheartedly served in even as we grieve. Petra Youth Productions will continue on Saturday 2:30 p.m. as usual. We will continue to remember Jen Ruw even through our service and look forward to claiming our reward from our Master on that Day together with him.
